Walk of Life- Day 30, November 2021- Give Thanks Unto the Lord
GIVE THANKS FOR GOD IS IN CONTROL
Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21
The phrase God is in Control gives comfort and confidence. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Isaiah 12:2
We have a sovereign God who is above everything when a child of God desires and wishes to do His will. He will never leave him or forsake, He is with him organizing and orchestrating things on his behalf. The Lord considers the earnest desire of the heart, our God is not magical nor is he manipulating. Our God is the one who looks deep down into our heart; sometimes our trials and tests are to bring out the true desires in our heart and to mold us into His image. Sometimes they are to help us give up on our desires and make us align with His will. When we lose control of our life and willingly submit our life into God’s hands, He leads us into green pastures. When you do not give up on your own desires and still want the Lord Jesus at the same time, it is as good as having your legs into two boats and that will lead you nowhere. What are your desires today? Are you willing to invite the sovereign Lord Jesus to rule over you or you only need Him sometimes when you are in need?
This small incident from the life of Bro. Bakth Singh that really touched me. He prayed to God asking if He can go for a haircut. A haircut is a normal routine but even for that he asked God’s permission. Bro. Bakht Singh submitted to God’s will even in the smallest areas of his life. When he obeyed the Lord because of his submission, he could win a soul for Christ on the same day when he shared the gospel in the saloon. This incident speaks volumes, when we surrender and submit to the will of God there is great joy and God is glorified. Many believers, believe God but not fully. We doubt Him due to lack of faith and trust in Him.
A skillful driver knows how to drive even in midst of heavy traffic. Our Lord is skillful and all powerful still we hesitate to give the full control of our life. It’s time to surrender ourselves fully into the hands of God. Which area of your life is not controlled by God? If you are still controlled by the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, it is not from the Father. Be not deceived brethren, invite the Lord to have control of your life fully. You have wearied the Lord enough! When we foolishly fall into trouble, He is skillful enough to bring you out of them all when you are still and have a desire to run towards God and not leave Him. God knows who are his as the verse says I know my sheep and my sheep knows me.
Sometimes its hard to believe that Gods in control when we are in various trials and troubles still God is desires us to stand on His promises He is ever faithful. He is righteous in everything He does and is not man to lie.
God is in control of your life and of your situations He is in control of the storms in your life, of your past and the future, He has it all. He is God of wind and the sea. Everything in all the earth obey Him. I belong to Him, the Great Jehovah and do not worry, trust; be still, He will be exalted among the nations and in all the earth.
He is in control of every small area of your life. If you hand over the steering wheel to Him, He will drive you safely to the other shore.
