Walk of Life, Day-8 August 2020 – Thoughts from the Book of Proverbs
Then I was beside Him as a master craftsman;
And I was daily His delight,
Rejoicing always before Him, Proverbs 8:30 (NKJV)
Who is beside you when you are doing a particular job or something important in your work, while cooking, or when you are doing an important assignment?
Is it Fear? Doubt? Impatience? Lack of Concentration? Restlessness? Worry? Fear of Future? or Fear of Failure? Most of the times we worry about petty things forgetting the fact that God is interested in us. He can take care of even the petty things that bother us.
Our Lord is a all wise God, whatever He does is full of wisdom. Look at the nature, how beautifully he has made, and your own self how wonderfully we are made, each of our fingerprints is unique.
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
Whatever God did and what He is going to do is with great wisdom but we fail to trust in God’s great wisdom and His plan for our lives. We worry and many at times, think we are wise and we depend on our analysis. Whatever we do we carry on with it and sometimes mess up things. Never do we seek His wisdom to be beside us. When God was laying the foundation of the sea, wisdom was beside Him as a master craftsman, who is our master craftsman how excellent are we in things we do? Are we considering God’s wisdom to be with us and lead us or our own feelings which does not bring glory to God.
I have heard an incident about the great man of God, Bro. Bakth Singh who has no experience in cooking, so whenever Bro. Bakth Singh cooked, he used to pray and ask God to lead him and tell him about the quantities that he should use in cooking and he just put every ingredient as the Lord told and he was finally able to make a tasty dish and he said, God added taste to it. I started to adopt the same method though I know little cooking, I say Lord if you do not add taste to this dish it will taste bad, so please add taste to this dish and I can see how the Lord leads and reminds of all the ingredients which turns out to be so delicious.
We need to acknowledge God’s presence time and time again as if we are checking a very precious thing again and again. Connect to God, keep speaking to Him, seek His wisdom all the time.
