Walk Of Life – Day 3, December 2020, Thoughts From The Book Of Proverbs

Jesus Christ – OUR TRUST

Trust in the LORD with all your heart – Proverbs 3 : 5

It surprises to visualise the trust and faith that the lady who was suffering from a serious issue of blood for almost twelve years. More was the mental agony than the physical agony. For those twelve years she was considered “unclean”. Nobody would have come next to her or touched her as she was always sickened with this issue of blood. But she dared to go into the crowd touching and pushing everyone to touch the hem of the garment of Jesus. She has forgotten everything else and the only one thing that she had was the TRUST in Jesus Christ.

Much more to be amazed is the trust of the four friends who took so much of risks to save their sick friend. They did not leave it as impossible but rather they lowered their friend along with the cot through the upper roof.

At least these people would have trusted Jesus because they saw Him performing miracles day in and day out in all the nearby villages and towns. But the blind man who haven’t seen the miracles of Jesus Christ, trusted Lord Jesus that He is surely able to open his blind eyes, and so he shouted without ceasing, Jesus Of Nazareth, have mercy on me.

The above three instances are people from Jerusalem. But is it not surprising to see the trust that the Centurion had on Jesus and that too for His servant?

There are so many people to say verdict about the Samaritan woman and what’s the big deal when Lord Jesus told about her actual condition. She trusted Him completely and went running into the village and proclaimed everything to her fellow villagers without any hesitation or shame.

Dear brothers and sisters it’s not only they who are to be mentioned but with full gladness we can list our names as well. Yes, many of us have taken the decision of trusting our Lord Jesus Christ, quite a long time back and we have the assurance of our Salvation. If there is anyone who haven’t taken this step, I encourage you to trust and have faith in Him as He alone is to be trusted.

Psalm 118 : 8,9 says “It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.” And also in Isaiah 2 :22 “Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils.

Trust in Jesus Christ at all circumstances. He alone will never fail us. He will surely let happen that which His moth had foretold. Our lives are safest only in His hands.

O God od our Trust, we commit our lives into thine holy hands. We know nothing of tomorrow Lord but only one thing we know is You Lord Jesus Christ who is our trust. Surrendering our lives we ask this in Christ’s most holy name.
