Walk Of Life-Day 2, March 2021 – The C R O S S of Calvary
COMPASSION
Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.
One of the most important attributes of our dear Lord is COMPASSION. He cannot cross the line without showing compassion to the one who is in need of it. All the miracles happen because He has compassion on them. I used to think when I was a child that I can win over people’s hearts by my tears. Later, I realized that everyone is not moved by tears. But I can surely tell you one thing that whenever I have cried to the Lord He has never passed me hardening His heart. He Never crosses the tears. So much of compassion on me a stranger. What a Compassionate Father.
Bible says in Psalm 103:13 “As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
The heights of His compassion is revealed on the cross of Calvary. He was humiliated, despised on forsaken as He was, is and will be compassionate on us. The cross is a great reminder of compassion. Even on that extreme agony and pain that He suffered in His body and the Torment that He had mentally of being cast away by His Father He Uttered “Lord, please forgive them. For they know not what they are doing.” He was compassionate to tell His Beloved disciple to to take care of His earthly mother.
Beloved if our Lord was compassionate on that cross How much sure He is on you and me today sitting at the right hand of God the Father, with all powers. He is waiting to be compassionate to you. Come to His cross, tell Him all about your troubles and needs. Don’t worry that earthly man is not compassionate on you. You are blessed to receive the compassion of The King of kings and the Lord of Lords.
I must tell Jesus All of my trials I cannot bear these burdens alone
In my distress He kindly will help me He ever cares and loves His own
I must tell Jesus All of my troubles He’s a kind and compassionate friend
If I but ask Him He will deliver Make of my troubles Quickly an end.
I must tell Jesus, I must tell Jesus I cannot bear these burdens alone
I must tell Jesus, I must tell Jesus Jesus can help me, Jesus alone
Tempted and tried, I need a great savior One who can help my burdens to bear
I must tell Jesus, I must tell Jesus He all my cares and sorrows will share
I must tell Jesus, I must tell Jesus I cannot bear these burdens alone
I must tell Jesus, I must tell Jesus
Jesus can help me, I know Jesus can help me, yes
Jesus can help me My Jesus alone.
Prayer: Compassionate Father, I thank and Praise you for the compassion shown to such a sinner like me on the cross of Calvary. Help me always remain compassionate to others in their distress and above everything may i be able to compassionately bring them to your cross. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen
