Walk Of Life – Day 24, April 2021 – Thoughts From The Book Of Proverbs – DON’T s
*DO NOT FRET BECAUSE OF EVIL MEN*
Do not be envious of evil men, Nor desire to be with them – proverbs 24 : 1
There are lots of reasons that makes us annoyed when we look into the present situation. Last year when this pandemic started sprouting in our country and the phase of lock down begun and though the churches were not opened, prayers and intercessions were made incessantly. Somehow or the other regardless of what faith they practice everyone had the fear of God. Fervently we believed without pondering over other reasons. I’m sure you will agree with me as i say that we are not the same at present who are in the phase of experiencing the second wave of the pandemic. Please forgive me if I am saying which doesn’t co-relate with you.
As for me, I was troubled. I started complaining all the time about improper governance, about evil and wicked ways of evil men. I wasted my time by talking ill about people. It’s not only during this time, but at many other occasions as well I have stopped progressing because of frustration, looking at people who flourish without taking the right direction. Everywhere it’s like that now. Without putting on efforts your project and thesis can be completed, without working hard a honorary degree can be awarded. Without toiling hard a man can become rich. Entrance exams can be cleared, desired Job postings can be received. But the word of God encourages us not to fret because of evil men.
Dear brother or sister, are you fed up by looking at the ways evil men are being prosperous? Are you agitated with the ways happening around us because of evil men. psalmist David clearly says in Psalm 37
1. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
and also tells us further about the ways that we have to do without envying the evil doers and they are as follows: –
* Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
* Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
* Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
* And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
* Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:
If you do all these you will not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.
May our Lord help us to walk focusing on His word.
