Walk Of Life – Day 24, June 2021 – Thoughts From The Book Of Proverbs – Fear Not!
FEAR NOT, FOR THE LORD SHALL RENDER ACCORDING TO YOUR DEEDS
If you say, “Surely we did not know this,” Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds? – Proverbs 24:12
Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you visited Me.’… These are the words of our Lord that we read in Matthew 25 : 34-36. Further more He continues to say in verse 40 ““The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Even a cup of water that we give to a stranger doesn’t go without recognition. Our Lord renders very well according to our works. In a working atmosphere, at many instances the work that we have done doesn’t gain the momentum, at the same abundant chances are there that others earn the name and fame from our work. I, personally have underwent these atrocities at work but at all times the only consolation was My Lord looks at me and has a record of the work that I do. Yes, God has been faithful. Somehow or the other He has made my higher authorities to value the work that i have done.
I feel happy to share my testimony. I used to be the Mistress of ceremony at our college. If the chief guests appreciate me to my director, he will become very much annoyed and will start to trouble me without any reason. For one such big international event, where nothing was known about the sequence of the program, though I refrained from getting on to the stage I had to move forward to compere as there was no one ready to go. I presented myself simple and elegant without any chaos and confusion. After the event was over I stood alone praising God for the wisdom and for the words that He had put in my mouth. The vice chancellor of our university, was speaking with our Director and when he saw me he left our director and started progressing towards me. When I saw such a man coming towards me I approached him near to my Director and the words that he told about me was so encouraging. I praise God for His mercies. I just remembered the incident that happened in the life of Mordecai.
On that night the king could not sleep; and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles, and they were read before the king.
To honour His son, God did not allow the king to sleep and He made his heart to delight in honouring Mordecai.
Dear child of God, are you embarrassed thinking about your works being unrecognized or are you fretting because the evil works of the evil doers are being hidden? The word of God in today’s portion encourages you and me saying
Fear Not! For the Lord shall render according to your deeds.
