Walk Of Life – Day 29, June 2021 – Thoughts From The Book Of Proverbs – Fear Not!

FEAR NOT! JUSTICE COMES FROM THE LORD

Many seek the ruler’s favor but justice for man comes from the Lord – Proverbs 29: 26

Justice is rooted in God’s character and creation:
• “He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he” (Deuteronomy 32:4).
• “The Lord is righteous, he loves justice” (Psalms 11:7).
• “The Maker of heaven and earth … upholds the cause of the oppressed and … loves the righteous” (Psalms 146:6–8).
• “The Lord Almighty will be exalted by his justice” (Isaiah 5:16).
• God’s character includes a zeal for justice that leads him to love tenderly those who are socially powerless (Psalms 10:14 – 18).

Before getting saved, I was filled the thought that all the good deeds that I do will make the Lord allow me to go to heaven. But then, our VBS teacher clearly explained to me with practical examples. He explained to me about the attributes of our Lord and said that He is loving and at the same time He is a God of just. simply He cannot forgive my sins. The example that he said to me was to imagine me to be a murderer standing in the court before the judge. Even if I agree to him about the murder that I have made, the judge has got no authority to forgive my sin just like that. He has to punish me according to the mistake that I have committed. A judge, an ordinary human who also can do the same mistake that I have done has to deal with me justly. If that is the case with a sinful judge how much more it should be with my Righteous God. That is the example that made me to think and accept our Lord as my personal saviour.

There are many ways in which we have been shown injustice. Most of the things that happens around us are without justice. Might be in getting an admission in the college or receiving a promotion or to get our works done in a government office or even amidst our family members we experience this injustice. We sometimes become worn out and tired with this scenario. Fear not, the Lord who showed justice to an adulterous woman who was chased by people to stone her to death is with us. He will certainly bring out the justice to light.

Joseph, had dealt a lot with injustice throughout his life. He should have wondered at every time. May be when brothers showed hatred against him, or when they they him down into a pit or when they sold him to the Egyptians or when he was cast into prison without proper verification by Potiphar himself. Everywhere injustice. Though he could have taken revenge he never took the case in his hands but the God of justice rewarded him at the right time.

our God of Joseph is with us. Dear brother, Dear Sister are you tired and weary because of injustice. Are you planning to take revenge? Please don’t loose your peace. Our God of justice is with us.

Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. – Romans 12:19

Sleep peacefully! Justice comes from the Lord.
