Step In To Keep You From Evil Woman
To keep you from the evil woman, from the flattering tongue of a seductress. – Proverbs 6:24
We are being warned again and again in this aspect of keeping ourselves from evil woman or evil man. From the flattering tongue of a seductress. Do not lust after her beauty and do not allow her to allure you. Oh! how much we should be careful. Too many advertisements on beauty products and so much emphasis on being attractive. The fashion world is soaring high day by day and obviously they attract even if we don’t want to be.
More than all these beauty concepts the greatest device used to make one fall down is the tongue. The way they speak. Emotions are crumbled when someone starts showing concern towards us or appreciate us or compliment us. It happens even when they start sharing about their own or listen to us. Modern days there are so many methods of being drawn into this horrible pit. Beware my brothers and sisters.
You no need anyone to show pity or care or concern. You are not alone. You are so pretty in the sight of the Sovereign Lord. You are so valuable. Do not be flattered. Do not long for someone to talk to you or chat with you or be with you. Wait for the counsel of the Lord. He will show you the right partner. It is best for a Christian man to find a true Christian woman. Proverbs 31:12 “She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.” What fellowship can light have with darkness? Proverbs 7:24-26 “Now then, my sons, listen to me; pay attention to what I say. Do not let your heart turn to her ways or stray into her paths. Many are the victims she has brought down; her slain are a mighty throng.”
This warning is not only for unmarried young brothers and sisters. It’s for the married brothers and sisters as well. Do not forget the vows that you pronounced before the Lord and His church. Don’t ever entertain unwanted thoughts or conversations. The statistics of disloyal spouses gave a great shock. It’s the time to step in to keep from evil woman or evil man. Step out of unwanted alluring thoughts regarding another or unwanted conversations. Proverbs 30:20 says “This is the way of an adulterous woman: She eats and wipes her mouth, And says, “I have done no wickedness.” The standards of the world might have changed but God’s standards are the same and will be the same.
Proverbs 2:16 says “Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words.” Step in to the mighty arms of God and keep His testimonies and His law for He will give you the wisdom to keep you from evil woman or evil man.
