Walk of Life – Day 15 – November 2021 – Give thanks Unto the Lord

Psalm 136:12 – With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: For his mercy endureth for ever.

Give Thanks for He Leads Us

We have such a faithful and true God. Its truly a privilege to be a born-again believer and have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus. Walking with Him each day with the Lord clearly speaking through His word telling you what to do and what not to do is truly something that each of us should really treasure. Thank Him for He leads with a strong hand and an outstretched arm.
Just imagine yourself in the middle of nowhere and you need to reach a destination and google maps does not work…how clueless would you be? Today we are so dependent on that app that wherever we go if you just have the location it is so easy to reach the place. It leads us through the best route and the fastest route, gives us instructions clearly and has many other options like finding required services along the way. We are here today in this world and living life as it comes. However, every day we make choices and each choice determines the kind of life we finally lead…be it the choice of school, college, career, spouse, and so on. There are daily choices that we make which clearly show the kind of person we are. So when I say that the Lord Jesus leads me, I am saying that He helps me make the right choices and obey His will and do His will in my life. If I obey His will then I walk along the path that He has charted out for me.
We thank Him for His continued presence with us. The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33:14 It is one thing to go somewhere alone and a totally different thing when someone who knows that place takes you along and guides you. Christ is with me always is a calm assurance that will keep us strong in every situation.
We thank Him for He leads with His light and His truth. O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your dwelling places. Psalms 43:3 – The light searches our hearts and sees if there is any wicked way in us and leads us in the right path. He continues to reveal His truth to our souls so we can walk in truth.
He leads us with godly counsel. With Your counsel You will guide me, Psalms 73: 24.  He teaches us to learn and obey His word and at the same time, we receive counsel from elders and teachers.

He leads us in the just path and requires us to be humble. Psalm 25:9 He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way – If someone has to lead you, you must be willing to be led. There are several people who would be very confident of the way. If you show them a different route they would make fun of you and go by the way they think is right. It needs humility to be led by the Lord. And He is just and leads us in the correct path.

He leads us gently. He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry [them] in his bosom, [and] shall gently lead those that are with young. Isaiah 40:11. The Lord is not someone who is harsh or rude. He is very gentle and kind. He is compassionate and merciful. He leads us quietly and gently and leads by example not by force.

He leads beside still waters. Our Shepherd wants to lead us to a place of rest, a place of trust, a place of confidence, a place where you rely on Him and focus on Him without anything that will distract you.

He leadeth me, O blessed thought
O words with heavenly comfort fraught
Whate’er I do, where’er I be
Still ’tis God’s hand that leadeth me
He leadeth me, He leadeth me
By His own hand He leadeth me
His faithful follower I would be
For by His hand He leadeth me
And when my task on earth is done
When by thy grace the victory’s won
Even death’s cold wave I will not flee
Since God through Jordan leadeth me
We need to be thankful for we have such a faithful and true God to lead us to our eternal home.
