Walk of Life – Day 12 – February 2022 – Thoughts from the Book of Proverbs – Love!

He who speaks truth declares righteousness, But a false witness, deceit. Proverbs 12:17 NKJV

A faithful witness will not utter lies but a false witness will utter lies. Proverbs 14:5

The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment. Proverbs 12:17

Love to speak the truth!

Everyone in this world is in search of purity, and the demand to get ‘pure’ things is really high as it is very rare.   In the market, the word “organic” is so attractive these days and people are trying to get those foods even if it costs high.  We are in the quest of honest products without any adulteration.

Not only that many people are in search of the true God who will save them from hell and give them peace of mind while they are on this earth.  We are very blessed that we are called the sons and daughters of the Most High God who is true.  Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.  Being called His children we are supposed to walk in His ways which are true and rightful, life-giving yet difficult.  This is not optional for his children but a mandate; we are supposed to imitate our father.

Those who love God love to do justice and also honor God in every way possible and those who are not children of God continue in sin and unrighteousness and continue to dishonor God by their evil ways which seem so correct to them.  The Lord’s eyes run to and fro throughout the whole earth and He sees all our ways, whether good or bad. There is a day of judgement and we will be judged for whatever we did.

The truth might be so difficult to speak sometimes and that particular situation may be rough; God who sees you will reward you.  The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment. Proverbs 12:17 Jesus is the truth.  What one believes in is what one utters.

The Truth Will Set You Free

31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32

To speak the truth we need to abide in the true God.  When we abide in the true God, we become true disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.  A clear conscience easily detects lies, if we say a lie our conscience would prick us and make us re-tell the truth and run to God to ask pardon.  We are made free from every kind of bondage but Satan loves to bind Gods children in sin and lies.  After Adam and Eve ate the fruit in the garden of Eden, their eyes were opened. Eve was eager to become wise.  She believed in the lies that the serpent had told her.  A lie need not be a complete opposite of what is right it is just a slight variance from the truth, half-truth.  Half- truth is also sin as it is not the complete truth. Many are deceived by the fact that they have told half-truth which is sin.

Once Adam and Eve sinned, they had to hide from the true God.  Lies, sin makes you hide from the truth.  When you go far away from God, the soul becomes worse.  If we are in Christ, we can never live in lies.  A child of God tries his best to come out of sin as quickly as possible even if he gets into.  The desire to please God and the ability to escape from sin and lies are the traits of a true disciple of Lord Jesus because God is never pleased with lies.

Let’s love to speak truth with a true heart.

Dear Lord Jesus, In this wicked world help me be always in you as you are the only true GOD who never changes in this ever changing world.  Please do not leave me.  In Jesus name I pray Amen.
