Walk of Life – Day 14 – February 2022 – Thoughts from the Book of Proverbs – Love!

Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands. Proverbs 14:1

Love to build rather pluck!

It is so easy to break something. A building or a tower which takes many days to build can be collapsed overnight in just few hours.

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Matthew 7:24

A wise man builds his house upon the rock. Not just a woman but both man and woman are responsible to build house or to pluck it down.

“But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand”- Matthew 7:26. Without the solid rock -Jesus Christ a man or woman cannot build anything. The rain came down, the floods arose, and the winds blew and the house fell down with a great crash.” Mathew 7:27 Every house or family faces some issue or the other like those floods, winds and sometimes great blows. Only the house which is built on the Lord Jesus Christ the solid rock will remain firm without falling. So we need to understand if the foundation of the family is not built correctly it would collapse even for a little blow.

One has to humble completely to know the heart and mind of Jesus to get wisdom for our day today living and building. But an egoistic person finds it difficult to get along in life because the selfish desires and the self-will is not put to death. The struggle between own decisions and following God’s way is always a challenge to highly egotistic person who is unwilling to give up on their self. In christian walk of life the ability to walk hand in hand with our Master brings success.

We, as the children of the Most High God are called to build and to plant to lift up each other rather than pluck and tear each other down. Isaiah 51: 16 says “And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heaven, and lay the foundation of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people”. Such a mystery in our words to plant heaven and to lay the foundations of the earth. .. I will lay thy stones with fair colors, and lay the foundations with sapphires Isaiah 54:11 The Lord lays our foundations of our spiritual life, our family life. He is interested in building but if we do not obey Him he never forces it, its just our choice.

Unless the Lord builds they labour in vain that build it. Make God your master let him tell you what to do. Listen to His voice and understand what He is trying to make you or mould you.

The unseen and hidden battles can be won in prayer. A small activity was given to Jeremiah where he was asked to hide his Girdle which his belt tied around his waist and then after many days God had asked Jeremiah to bring the girdle back which is all disfigured and marred. God told him that the pride of Judah and Israel would be made in that way. God brings the pride down and gives grace to the humble. And God expected to cleave to Him like the girdle to the waist. We are supposed to cleave to the Lord and stay humble in order to build and to plant and gain the wisdom from the Lord. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. James 3:17

Dear Lord, make me wise and help me to understand your will for me. In Jesus name Amen.
