Walk Of Life – Day 12, July 2022 – Thoughts From The Book Of Psalms.
Psalm 10 – Our God is the King forever and ever
In Psalm 10 we read about the wicked, about his deeds and thoughts. In today’s world people often oblige us through their behavior to question God like the psalmist did in Psalm 10 – “Why standest thou afar off, O Lord? Why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?” The wickedness in the world has been scaling greater heights day by day. The mutation of sin has been forcing us to think on what God might be thinking looking at the vast, bold spread of sin. Long ago marrying against parent’s will was a great sensational news, but now a days marrying person of same gender has become legal. Many such things trouble the children of God.
However, the wicked have no trouble with the mutation of sin. they are in fact happy. They want their wickedness to spread wider and in all forms possible. In every class we have few students who are very naughty, and those who always like to do mischief. Whenever the teacher arrives late to the class during the little gap they slowly start a mischief and if the teacher’s late for more time than usual they never take the initiative to stop and settle. Instead they get more involved in their mischief as if there is no one to control them. They fail to realize that there is a person called teacher who is in charge and has authority to punish them for their mischief. The wicked in this world are just like that they keep on doing wickedness as if there is no God (verse 4). They fail to realize that the Lord, our God is the king forever and ever. This king never retires. Not a single deed goes unnoticed by Him.
God is going to judge everyone according to their deeds. Neither the haughty nor the humble would be forgotten. Everyone is going to reap what they have sown. So, my dear friend, when you hear of wickedness or when you see wickedness multiplying around you, do not be troubled and do not join the wickedness thinking there is no wrong as they are prospering in their work of wickedness. Even during these wicked times let your focus always be set on the Lord Jesus Christ who is the king forever and ever. Though you may be oppressed for a while, He will surely lift you high, when you live a God- fearing and a God – pleasing life.
