Positive Attitude – What Does the Bible say?

We normally believe negative things easily and thereby we have fears and heartaches.
There are many motivational speakers who speak extensively about positive attitude but that is without Christ.

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.” John 15:4

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13

Without Christ we are nothing and even if we could do something, it is only momentary.

Our Lord wants us to trust in Him and have faith in Him alone and not in ourselves. The Israelite spies gave a negative report of the Promise Land and could not not enter in. They brought unnecessary fear in the minds of the Israelites. Joshua and Caleb brought positive reports coupled with faith. Caleb believed in God and by faith he said – we are well able to overcome it. Numbers 11:30. A positive attitude in Christ is simple, childlike trust in the Lord Jesus, fully believing that all things work together for good to him who loves God, fully surrendering to the will of the Heavenly Father, calmly trusting that the Lord Jesus doeth all things well, each time and every time.

Thoughts to Ponder:

  • What happened to the woman who touched the hem of the Jesus’ garment and why do you
    think she touched?
  • Is your faith as strong as a mustard seed?
