Walk Of Life – Day 01, January 2021 – Thoughts From The Book Of Proverbs – Enter
Enter, without fear of Harm
whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.” – Proverbs 1:33
Many years have passed by and so has the year 2021. Just like we receive wishes and greetings for every year we have shared our wishes and received from many. In fact our gallery would have occupied much space with new year greetings, GIFs, Memes and so on. But that’s not what’s going to be. For example let us take a simple common wish which says “Wishing you a happy new year”. Does that mean throughout the year we are going to be happy without any sorrows or pain or distress. Not at all possible. We will surely encounter all struggles and it is common to everyone. Everyone has their portion in their own way. We live in an uncertain world and everything is destined for changes. Even if there is no harm that ensnares us from outside a sudden grief can overtake our heart.
Throughout the past year there were many disheartening moments and incidents. Things which we couldn’t digest. There are many a times where we asked the question “Why has God allowed these to happen?” we stood without any clue. we heard a lot of suicides. Murders have become very common. Brutality was evident. Aircraft explosion, massacres, natural calamities did not show any mercy in addition to the deadly pandemic. Amidst all the calamities one thing was sure. The grace of our Lord was abundantly given to us. Everyday our Lord sustained us. He directed us, protected us and counseled us. He was right behind us no matter whether we called on His name or not.
And as we stepped into the new year let us enter into this 2022 without the fear of harm. Today’s scripture says whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm. What a great satisfying assurance! When we listen to Him we will live in safety. How to listen to Him? Our God speaks to us. Yes He is The God who speaks. Hebrews 1:1 Says “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;” and unto us he speaks through the written word of God, Through His People, through our circumstances. It is really important to connect with Him at all times. He wants us to listen to Him.
Whatever might have happened in the former years let them be bygone. As we have begun this new year our Lord invites us to enter in without the fear of harm
Trust Him with all your heart and He will lead you through. Take a decision today that even for the smallest matters you will wait for His instructions. Make that as a practice. Get His confirmation and His approval. He will guide you and He will lead you through. You will live in safety and will be free from harm.
