Walk Of Life – Day 1, February 2021 – Thoughts From The Book Of Proverbs

Blessings of Safety

Whoever listens to me will dwell safely, and will be secure, without fear of evil.” – Proverbs 1 : 33

I’m quite sure that whoever is reading this is really filled with astonishment about the bygone month. It seems as though it’s just that we attended the watch night service and alas one month is completed. Shall we all take a moment aside to praise God for the safety and protection that we enjoyed under His wings throughout all the bygone days. Let’s all confess with our mouth, filled with a heart of gratitude that it’s truly and truly the mercies of God that we remain yet unconsumed. Hallelujah! There are many under the roof of the sun, for whom it’s not possible to say these words and for sure we are not better than they but it’s just His Grace and His Grace alone.

And as we step into the second month of the year our Lord promises us two things and they are

1. Will dwell safely and will be secure
2. Will not have the fear of evil.

Even though the storms may come and the winds may blew or be cast into the den of lions or fire, or walk through crooked places or wilderness we will soar above the storm as our Lord has given us this promise that we will live safe and secure and will be free from the fear of the evil. We can confidently sing this chorus

I just keep trusting the Lord, as i walk along
I just keep trusting the Lord and He gives me a song.
Though the storm clouds darken the sky over the heavenly trail
I just keep trusting the Lord He will never fail.

All we need to do is to listen to Him, as it’s a promise given to those who listens to Him. We ll are sure that our God is speaking God. He speaks to His people. He appeared to our great great grandparents in the garden of Eden and He conversed with them. He spoke to our forefathers and very interestingly He even does self introduction to Moses and he has spoken to everyone throughout the ages. that’s why we read in Hebrews 1: 1 as “God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son.”.

Everyday morning let us begin with the word of God, meditating word by word and asking the Lord to reveal His secrets to us. Let us practice the habit of recording that we have listened, lest we forget His instructions. let us be watchful over our ways and be assured that our Lord is faithful and he will keep us safe and secure. Let us lean on His everlasting arms.

Prayer: Thank and praise you Father for protecting us so far and also for the assurance that you have given us. Father God Preserve us from all evil. Amen
