BLESSINGS OF PROSPERITY
He who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like foliage. Proverbs 11:28
One of the blessings God gives his children is the blessing of prosperity.
PROSPERITY MEANS:
°To succeed and flourish in all things
°To Blossom, do well and advance in life.
There exists two kinds of wealth and prosperity:
The godly prosperity
Prosperity of the wicked.
CHARACTERISTICS OF GODLY PROSPERITY.
°Prosperity with soul salvation.
“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:26
°Prosperity with the fear of God.
“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.” Job 1:1
°Prosperity with spiritual growth and service.
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” (3 John 1:2)
°Prosperity with honest work and labour.
“Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.” Proverbs 13:11
Psalmist David prays like this in Psalm 118:25 “O Lord, do save, we beseech You;O Lord, we beseech You, do send prosperity!”
TO inherit all the blessings the one and only thing that we must do from our side is to obey him as we read in Deuteronomy 28:2 All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you obey the Lord your God:
Also in Job 36:11 we read that if we hear Him and obey him our days will be filled with prosperity. “If they hear and serve Him, They will end their days in prosperity And their years in pleasures.”

Proverbs 10:22 says “It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it.”
To inherit prosperity, there are many practical tips given one amongst it is To Be Diligent as we read in proverbs 22:29 “For if thou seest a person who is Diligent he will stand before the kings and not before obscure men.”
May our Lord’s blessing abide upon each and everyone of us so that we might be prosperous.
Let us pray. Father God, the maker of heaven and the Earth, the Lord who owns cattle on a ten thousand hills, gold and silver and riches are yours and we are your children. Help us to inherit your blessings by being obedient and diligent. Amen.
