Walk Of Life – Day 12, December – Thoughts From The Book Of Psalms

Psalm 108

Give us help from trouble, For the help of man is useless. – Psalm 108:12

There are at times that I had confidence in the assuring words of help given by many people during my tough times which has resulted in vain. It’s not to blame others even inwardly there were many times I have felt the necessity to help others but I was really unable to help them. Not Knowingly but out of not being able to help them. Because human beings are always with limitations. Some will not have the heart and mind to help whereas others would not be able to help though they want to help.

But the God whom we serve is a God of Impossibilities. He has given the assurance in Jeremiah 33:3 “Call unto me, I will answer you and deliver you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.” This secret was known to Daniel.

Daniel was one of the higher authorities and he for sure would have known other higher officials who could have helped him. But he did not go to anyone else when he was facing a problem. The word of God clearly says in Daniel 6:10

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.

My dear brothers and sisters we know the later part of the history. It was a fabulous help that he received from God. Even after knowing his perilous state he did not dare to go to any human being but went to the Maker of Heaven and the Earth from whom the help comes from.

Are you waiting for a help? Are you lingering in your life expecting a favour from some one? In your SWOT analysis is one of your opportunity is something that you are going to receive through a human being? I caution you. It is futile. Place your desire or your trouble or your burden at the feet of the Lord who has given you an invitation to place it on His feet. His help alone will be perfect.
