Walk Of Life – Day 14, January 2021 – Thoughts From The Book Of Proverbs
NEW BEGINNINGS – NEW INCREASE
Where no oxen are, the trough is clean; But much INCREASE comes by the strength of an ox. Proverbs 15:4
The word that we are going to concentrate today is INCREASE. The LORD encourages our heart with this word today. Yes, it is certain that at the beginning of this year we are going to be blessed with an Increase. As we read in 3 John 2 “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” May our Lord prosper every child of God in all ways along with the prosperity of our soul.
Lord Jesus Christ has instructed us in Matthew 6:33 “Seek Ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.” So the basic primary element that we come across in both these verses is to seek for a progress in our spiritual life. Let’s see the ways to increase in our spiritual life.
Increase in the knowledge of God: –
Apostle Paul says in Colossians 1:10 “So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”
Increasing in love for one another: –
And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you-1 Thessalonians 3:12
Increase unto more Godliness: –
Apostle Paul warns young Timothy to Shun profane and vain babblings as they will increase unto more ungodliness as we read in 2 Timothy 2:16. So our heart’s desire should be to increase with more Godliness.
Increase in our faith:-
In these last days we are for sure witnessing a lack of faith. Many churches are being converted into different buildings and believers running behind miracles, signs and emotional enjoyment. Satan is always awaiting to disturb or faith and hence we must always pray to increase our faith just like the disciples do in Luke 17:5.
Increase in giving: –
A person who gives more and generously will prosper as we read in Proverbs 11: 25 and God loves a cheerful giver.
Increase in Wisdom and Favour of Men: –
We read in Luke 2:52 that Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and man. Just like Him we, His sons and daughters should increase in wisdom and favour.
Increase of God more in us: –
Most importantly, shall we sincerely pray and desire every single day of this year just as John desired that “He must increase and I decrease.” It is not me increasing within but my Abba Father’s increase in me.
May this year 2021 help us to increase in all the above listed ways and it is for sure that our Lord will increase and bless every one of us as we read in Deuteronomy 1:11 “May the LORD, the God of your fathers, make you a thousand times as many as you are and bless you, as he has promised you!”
New Resolution: May we resolve to increase in knowing the Lord, increase in the love for one another, increase in the godliness, increase in our faith, increase in giving, increase in the wisdom and favour of men and above all may God be Increased more in us.
When we do so our Lord is exceedingly faithful to Increase us more.
