Walk of Life, Day 16- December 2020- Thoughts from the Book of Proverbs.

Lord Jesus Christ – The One who Establishes

Proverbs 16:3 “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”

The word establish is normally used in relation to the history of an organization or a college, it is very important for any firm to be established before it grows and flourishes.

Our Lord is a great God who never fails us, He is careful enough to lead us in every way.  He is interested even in our minutest details of our life, even while choosing a dress.  The Lord would be so pleased when we commit our ways to him, the verse says in whatever we do.  In a day, we do so many things we acknowledge God in our important issues, other than our personal prayer.  Our Lord is welcoming us to have fellowship with him all the day committing every plan and action to Him. When we read a verse carefully and slowly again and again we could understand the true intention of our Lord which refreshes us and helps us become closer to him.

When we commit whatever we do which is like a raw material to establish our plans.  One day in my distress when I read the word of God I came across this verse which says In righteousness shalt thou be established; Isaiah 54:14 He not only established our plans but he is interested in establishing us in a place free from oppression or any form of hurt.  I was very much comforted by this verse. When the God of this entire universe is asking us to commit our works, plans, ways, and actions we do not do it 100%  we commit few plans but not all, few actions but not all, few say I gave my heart to the Lord but their eyes are still theirs, mind is not yet given to the Lord.  Do you have the experience of surrendering yourself to the Lord? Your sense organs, heart, mind and soul everything to the Lord along with your heart?  Some use their mouth in abusing and complaining and judging others rather than appreciating, correcting, or praising the Lord. Some watch many things which harm the soul and the relation with the Lord, not understanding that our eyes are the doorway for sin to enter into us.  Because of this reason conscience is lost the intimate, real relationship with the Lord is ruined, developing a hardened spirit and insensitive conscience despising the warnings of the Holy Spirit.

The Lord establishes us in righteousness,  The Lord establishes our plans, The Lord establishes our steps

Only when we submit to him fully, the famous hymn “I surrender ALL” is well-known.  Sadly, we are not interested to invite God in every area of our life, we keep God away when we are angry, God aside for a while when we are watching some interesting show, so on and so forth.

Beloved, our Lord had freely given us himself completely without any reservation he was born in a lowly state from the day He was born He had given himself to us completely to become a ransom for my sins and your sins.  Let us submit ourselves, whatever we do to our Lord not just for a day but always. Commit your ways to Him and the faithful God will establish you in His purposes
