Walk Of Life – Day 16, March 2023 – Thoughts From The Book Of Psalms

Psalm 143

I remember the days of old; I meditate on all your works, I muse on the work of your hands – Psalm 143:5

Right from the day we were conceived in our mother’s womb till this moment it is the hand of our Lord that is leading us and upholding us. Is it not certain that during all the perplexing times and when we stood helpless our Lord was our help. Even in my life there are many situations where I have thought “this is it. And I will not or cannot go further” our Lord Jesus Christ rescued me and delivered me just like a spark. When I now turn back and see how I crossed over the path is very much amazing. It doesn’t mean that it was the end to all the problems. They repeatedly visit us. But the way to overcome them is by remembering the days of old and meditating on all the works done by our Lord.

I pleaded the Lord to help me deliver my child through normal delivery but it was getting more complicated. I was very much over weight and the child within me also was growing more than the normal weight as I was gestational diabetes. The doctors confirmed that it’s going to be Cesarean and they were making me mentally ready. But I prayed to the Lord of hosts that I have to deliver the child through the curse that He has laid on women and my family also prayed for me. Miraculously our Lord helped me to deliver my daughter normally and she weighed 4.3 kg. I know for sure that it was the work of the Lord. And dear readers right from that experience let come what may I always think about the work of His hands that helped me to deliver my daughter normally. I will encourage myself My Lord who did that will do this as well. That has encouraged me and has given me a lot of confidence.

Though David says to remember the days of the old in the following verse he prays to the Lord saying

Answer me speedily, O Lord; My spirit fails! Do not hide Your face from me, Lest I be like those who go down into the pit. Cause me to hear Your loving kindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.

Whatever might be the situation that we are in today, there is only one thought that can keep us quiet and calm. That is to meditate on all His works. Recollect all the good things that our dear Lord has done for you. Remind Him and praise Him for that. Let our Lord know that you are having full trust on Him. He will guide you and make you strong. Sing this song and praise Him today for all His beautiful works.
