Walk Of Life – Day 22, June 2021, Thoughts From The Book Of Proverbs – FEAR NOT
Fear not! For I will make you know the words of truth.
That I may make you know the certainty of the words of truth, That you may answer words of truth To those who send to you? – Proverbs 22:21
The opening verses of ACTS 5 brings out the well known incident of Ananias ans Sapphira and their conversation with Peter.
But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, and kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
Who revealed the hidden plot to Peter and other disciples? Surely, the Blessed Holy Spirit revealed it to them. Living in this world filled with lies we struggle to filter the truth from lies. As students, you would have been perplexed and worn out to see the role of money exceeding the real hard work. At work place, our work is stolen very easily by someone else and a false report is given to our higher authorities. We wrestle often within our-self without knowing the reason for the anger of our boss. These kind of examples are not an exception at our homes. Everywhere around we encounter these situations.
We read about this in the Book of Esther. The king was given a false image about the Jews who lived in Sushan. We read about thin in Esther 3:8-10
“Then Haman said to King Xerxes, “There is a certain people dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom who keep themselves separate. Their customs are different from those of all other people, and they do not obey the king’s laws; it is not in the king’s best interest to tolerate them. If it pleases the king, let a decree be issued to destroy them, and I will give ten thousand talents of silver to the king’s administrators for the royal treasury.” So the king took his signet ring from his finger and gave it to Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of the Jews. “Keep the money,” the king said to Haman, “and do with the people as you please.”
What a false allegation! But Dear child of God, did it gain victory? It seemed victorious for a moment but finally the plan was devastated into pieces. The exact truth was revealed to the king and the Jews were liberated and Haman was hanged in the same billows which was made by him to hang Mordecai.
Is this not encouraging you today. Are you feeling bad that you are not able to know the truth or answer the truth? The God who claims ” I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE” is standing beside to reveal the truth at the right time. Cling on to Him. Do not leave Him. He will stand for you and set you on high.
FEAR NOT!
