Walk Of Life – Day 22, October 2020 – Thoughts From The Book Of Proverbs
So that your trust may be in the LORD; I have instructed you today, even you. Proverbs 22:19
Shall we all sing the chorus that we have learnt in our Sunday school. If this is an unknown chorus kindly learn it now through any source and keep singing.
“Trust in the Lord and don’t despair,
He is a friend so true.
No matter what your troubles are
Jesus will keep you through.
Sing when the day is bright, sing through the darkest night,
Everyday, all the way let us sing, sing sing.”
A joy really fills our hear when we sing this chorus. Whatever might be our situation our lord instructs us to leave them all at His feet and trust Him. There is not a greater problem that He could not solve it.
Placing aside all our burdens at His feet shall we all sing the following song.
“There is no problem too big God cannot solve it
There is no mountain too tall God cannot move it
There is no storm too dark God cannot calm it
There is no sorrow too deep He cannot soothe it
Oh, if He carried the weight of the world upon His shoulders I know my brother that He will carry you
Oh, if He carried the weight of the world upon His shoulders I know my sister that He will carry you He said,
“Come on to me all who are weary And I will give you rest””
There may be many questions running in our mind about our future, about our career, education, life partner, might be difficult health scenarios, financial crisis, dejection and so on and never fail to sing
I’ve had many tears and sorrows,
I’ve had questions for tomorrow,
there’s been times I didn’t know right from wrong.
But in every situation,
God gave me blessed consolation,
that my trials come to only make me strong.
Through it all,
through it all,
I’ve learned to trust in Jesus,
I’ve learned to trust in God.
Through it all,
through it all,
I’ve learned to depend upon His Word.
I’ve been to lots of places,
I’ve seen a lot of faces,
there’s been times I felt so all alone.
But in my lonely hours,
yes, those precious lonely hours,
Jesus lets me know that I was His own
Our Lord Jesus Christ never leaves us nor forsakes us. He never changes. He guides us and walks beside us always.
Dear friend, do you think that you have walked very far, away from trusting our Lord? Did you go in search of other counsels? Hope by this time you would have realised there is nobody else than our Lord Jesus Christ to be trusted. He alone gives us the comfort and the assurance that he has forgiven all our sins. The riches that we have, the materials that we possess, the strength that we have, the people whom we know and are acquainted with us can never help us at your fallen state. Come back to the Lord and trust him. He whispers words of hope into your ears.
If in the dusk of the twilight
Dim be the region afar
Will not the deepening darkness
Brighten the glimmering star
Then when the night is upon us (ooh)
Why should the heart sink away?
When the dark midnight is over
Watch for the breaking of day
Whispering hope
Oh, how welcome Thy voice
Making my heart
In its sorrow rejoice.
Welcome these words of hope within you and trust the Lord as he has instructed you to do so. The saints of God have written these songs only after they experienced the power of trusting our Lord.
Stop breaking your head with your own plans and counsels. Surrender your life to the Lord. He will lead you and guide you.
