Walk Of Life – Day 24, October 2020, Thoughts From The Book Of Proverbs

Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. Proverbs 24:11

It so happened, on a pleasant day, feeling unpleasant within himself as life’s struggles has been pressing him down with many failures and tragedies, he decided not to live anymore and so sketched out a plan to take away his life and while he was about to execute it the flipping pages of a book caught his attention and so, before ending up his life he thought for a second to do something good so that he might receive moksha by any chance. He turned over the pages of the book. As he ran short of time he searched through the concordance for the verse relating to the meaning of his name which is “ultimate bliss” and the closest connection was Peace and the verse that referred to it was John 14:27 which says “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Words full of life started changing his mind, gave him comfort and confidence, and so he decided to live and explore this God. This is the testimony in brief about Bro. Anand Pillai, the senior Executive Vice President and Chief Learning Officer at Reliance Industries who has been a source of inspiration and motivation to thousands and thousands.
What delivered him when he was drawn to death? When he stumbled in life what quickened him? Is it not very obvious that it is the word of God by His grace that he got saved? Or else his life would have expired at the age of twenty. I thank the Lord for that particular unknown person who gave him a Gideon’s new testament. There are indeed many such incidents and marvellous testimonies that we have come across and the way God has used His children to deliver those who have been drawn to death.

This is not a new message. Every one of us have been given the greatest responsibility of sharing the good news to others and no child of God can give any excuses.

A small lame boy who couldn’t move away from his bed that has been placed near his window used the way of writing the verses from the Bible and throwing out down through the window.

Nick Vujicic, an Australian-American born without arms or legs who has become a world-renowned speaker, leading many to Christ through His testimony.

Francis Jane Crosby served the Lord with her blindness by writing more than 9,000 hymns and she had a great longing to rescue the people who are stumbling to be slaughtered which is reflected through the lines of the hymn “Rescue the Perishing”

However, we are, every child of God has to be a deliverer. Let us find out different ways using our talents and gifts to be a great tool in the hands of our lord to deliver those who are being drawn towards spiritual death.

“Have you no wish for others to be saved? Then you’re not saved yourself, be sure of that!” ― Charles Spurgeon
