Walk Of Life – Day 26, June 2021 – Thoughts From The Book Of Proverbs – Fear Not!
FEAR NOT! FOR THE LORD HAS HONOURED YOU
Like one who binds a stone in a sling Is he who gives honor to a fool. – Proverbs 26:8
As a student, I remember even to understand the most simple concept I will find it very difficult. My marks was all just above average. I was so naive and stupid that I could not understand what the others are plotting against me. I cannot answer back shrewdly face to face in a conversation but later I would regret “Oh! I should have given this reply to them.” But I wonder the amazing foreknowledge of God by which I understood His great plan of salvation. As the Scripture says
“God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;” – 1 Corinthians 1:27
Honour was not at all fitting for me but His amazing love has honoured with me so great a salvation through which I have become the Heir of the great sovereign King.
There’s the wonder of sunset at evening,
The wonder as sunrise I see;
But the wonder of wonders that thrills my soul
Is the wonder that God loves me.
O, the wonder of it all! The wonder of it all!
Just to think that God loves me.
O, the wonder of it all! The wonder of it all!
Just to think that God loves me.
There’s the wonder of springtime and harvest,
The sky, the stars, and the sun;
But the wonder of wonders that thrills my soul
Is a wonder that’s just begun.
Dear brothers and sisters, Is this not a great honour? To be loved by the most awesome God, to have the privilege of talking to Him and to be assured that He listens to us?
In Psalms 8:4,5 the psalmist astonishes by saying “What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than by the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.”
Not only the above mentioned spiritual honour The Lord also has honoured you and me in the physical world as well. Let’s praise God recollecting every instant. If you are worried over the shame that you have faced wherever it might be, don’t forget. The Lord who honoured you then will also hon0ur you now.
Fear Not! The Lord has honoured you and will honour you.
