Walk of Life- Day 29, November 2021- Give Thanks Unto the Lord.
GIVE THANKS FOR HE ANSWERS PRAYERS
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. I John 5:14,15
When you are in need of something you usually ask someone in whom you confide. You do not ask the one who does not listen to you or the one who does not pay attention to you. Humans may fail in giving you such confidence. Our prayer answering God never gives us a deaf ear. When you ask Him anything inside His will, He will never say No. He may delay His answers but they are never His denials.
Satan fears a prayer warrior and he flees from his presence. There is a quote which says ‘If you don’t feel like praying, force it because something is also forcing you not to pray.’ Satan keeps you from praying but we need to realize that if we pray there are going to be great and mighty things done for the Lord. We ought to know this fact and never comply to Satan’s tricks.
“Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Psalm 51:7 “We should pray with a clean heart and spirit; we ought to cleanse ourselves under the sprinkling blood of Lord Jesus Christ. The blood of the Lord Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin and unrighteousness; there is no sin that cannot be washed away with the blood of Jesus when a sinner genuinely repents and forsakes his sin.
For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. James 1:19, Anger is another besetting sin which is taken for granted as human emotion. This should be taken very seriously which hinders the righteousness of God. Before we pray, we ought to forgive others who wronged us or if we have hurt others, we should ask God to show us and we should correct ourselves. He is interested in us to make us into His image. When we ask the Lord to show us where we wronged others or where we failed Him, He will clearly show us and we ought to confess and leave it in Gods presence. Forgive others as Christ forgives us. If we hide sin in us, our prayers will never be answered.
Satan not only fears a prayerful believer, he also fears prayers offered up in unity with one heart and mind. Group prayers, when we pray together as brethren, we ought to have one heart and mind and pray with one accord. Satan cannot stand unity. That is the reason he disrupts the unity of Gods people among families and in the church. We ought to know the wiles of the enemy; we should pursue peace and unity in the family and church which is the main target of Satan. Our prayers ought to be offered up in spirit and in truth; they are very powerful as they confuse the plans and wicked schemes of Satan in the spiritual realm.
I thank Him because I have a God who hears me, listens to me and answers me in His time not in mine. He knows what is best for me. He cares for me very much and is waiting to answer my requests. He seeks a broken and a contrite spirit, a heart in which humility dwells, a heart of love and forgiveness, a sincere heart with true love for Him.
