Walk Of Life – Day 31, May 2021 – Thoughts From The Book Of Proverbs

May your own works praise you in the gates

Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates. – Proverbs 31:31

This chapter of the proverb explains about the various aspects of a virtuous woman. It praises her and adores her for all she is and for her goodness. She is appreciated for all her efforts and her hard work. The particular verse tells us that she will be spoken of in the gates by her own works.

Our works speak a lot. In non – verbal Communication there is a term called as KINESICS, which relates to be identified with the action that we do. Either through facial expression, eye movements, body posture and gesture and so on. We can also relate to one’s nature by their artifacts and also by the way they handle time. More than all these a person gets identified by their works. By the way a letter is drafted the higher official will easily identify who must have drafted it.

My mother will surely find out it’s me who did the vessels by the way it sparkles and are arranged in order. Without any introduction we can understand the person who speaks by their voice. Every work has got its own workmen. There may be many electricians whom we know but there will be one who outstands them all because of the way they work.

I’m proud to say about a loving sister in Christ, who is at present at Canada with her family who has magic in her fingers. The way she makes attractive flowers out of stockings, the colours that she handles and the shapes that comes forth I must say they are remarkable. This is her one talent much more to this is her culinary skills. If her children or husband desires to eat anything from the restaurant, within a stipulated time they will be ready much better than the taste of the restaurant. Her sewing talents has to be described elaborately. In totality there is indeed very little that she says she can’t do under the sun. In fact I’ve envied her a lot for the talents that she possess. I’m sure that there are many who would have spoken of her at their homes with their kith and kin or at their church.

This is the meaning of the verse. She was not spoken because of her husband or because of her children but because of her works as she was diligent and hard working.

proverbs 12:24 says “Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in forced labor.”
