Walk Of Life-Day 4, February 2021 – Thoughts From The Book Of Proverbs
BLESSINGS OF EXALTATION
She will place on your head an ornament of grace; A crown of glory she will deliver to you.” -Proverbs 4:9
The pronoun SHE is used instead of the word WISDOM. So the verse will be as Wisdom will place on your head an ornament of grace; A crown of glory she will deliver to you. It is not winning a running marathon or a beauty contest or any such competition but rather it is wisdom when embraced in our life gives us that exaltation and honour.
It
The word of God clearly says that “The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” I’m indeed certain that the brother or the sister who is reading this fears the Lord and so is wise. Praise The Lord for making us wise by instilling the fear of the Lord in our lives. Though we acknowledge it or not His exaltation is always visible in our life in various ways. It may be at the place where we study or work, or play or dwell there is a clear silver lining of differentiation between the redeemed children of God and others. We don’t realise it but quite often our hearts will keep fretting about the way the heathen people are prospering.
The Psalmist David says in Psalm 92: 10 “But my horn shalt thou exalt like [the horn of] an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.” Are you filled with any depriving thoughts that gives place to self pity empty that from your mind and start praising the Almighty father for the various blessings that He has bestowed you.
I did my graduation and post graduation through correspondence education and was continuously filled with the thought that I’m not better than any of my friends who earned their degrees from different reputed colleges. When I ponder over my life now, my career and my recognition is certainly not through the certificates that I have in my hand but it is through the wisdom of the Lord. I tell this only to the glory of the Lord and along with me there are many brothers and sisters who can testify the same. His testimonies, commandments, statutes, ordinances have indeed made me wiser than my enemies, than my teachers and than my elders as it was to David which He has testified in Psalm 119: 98,99 and 100.
1 Peter 5:6 says “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.” Are you worried about being stagnated? Are you stressed thinking that the graph marking the standard of your earthly life is not at all towards the upward scale? Moses excelled to the highest position while in Egypt. He learned everything and was skillful for the first 40 years of His life. But it was necessary for our Lord to take him to the desert and make him nothing for the next 40 years so that Under His leadership a great exodus happened which has never happened before or after.
My dear brother, My dear Sister, Praise the lord for the ways Our Omnipotent god has exalted you and also praise Him for the ways he is going to exalt you. Abide in his presence, fill your mind and heart with the word of God. Ephesians 3:20 says “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think” and so rejoice over the blessings of exaltation.
Prayer: Lord God, from whom all blessings flow, We praise and thank you for all the ways that you have exalted us and we wait on you for all the ways that you are going to exalt us further. We rest and abide in you humbly Lord. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
